For Ceramica Globo S.p.A., sustainability is not an accessory element but the strategic lever on which our way of doing business is built. Since 1980 we have combined design, manufacturing quality and technological innovation, with the aim of generating shared value for the local area, the environment, our employees and our customers.
To confirm our commitment, we have published our first Sustainability Report 2025, prepared in accordance with the European voluntary standard VSME (EFRAG 2024).

Our Environmental Goals
Our industrial policy has a strongly ecological focus. Every day we work to reduce the impact of our plants in Castel Sant’Elia and Fabrica di Roma (VT).
Clean, Self-Produced Energy
We have installed 4,410 photovoltaic panels (about 1.5 MW of power) that produce over 1,400,000 kWh a year. Thanks to this system, we cover between 30% and 40% of our total electricity needs with 100% renewable, zero-emission energy.
100% Circular Economy
In 2025 we generated 1,527 tonnes of waste, classified as 100% non-hazardous. 100% of this waste is sent for recycling or reuse. We reintroduce ceramic scrap into our mixes and use raw materials obtained from recycling ordinary household glass bottles.
“Globo Water Saving” Project
Operating in an area of high water stress, we make the most of every drop. We reuse industrial water “in cascade”, saving about 10,000 litres (10 m³) of water a day. We have also built an innovative evapotranspiration system that uses cherry laurel plants to treat wastewater.
Eco-design
We design products that reduce the use of raw materials (such as GLOBOTHIN®) and highly water-saving flushing systems (such as the 4 and 2.6 litre Senzabrida).
